Broken Trust

Day 10 of NaPoWriMo, to write an “unlove” poem. I’ve chosen to express my thoughts about a former doctor I used to see.

You got under my skin
Burrowed in deep
You were like a red hot pin
You made my eyes weep

Your words made me angry
Made me question myself
I looked at you blankly
As you liked to listen yourself

Your in a position of power
Your supposed to heal the sick
But my confidence you’d devour
When you acted like a prick

You made me feel like a liar
Like my problems weren’t there
You squashed my desire
Because you simply didn’t care

So I dug out your bitter taste
And flattened it like a bug
On you, time I won’t waste
Because your just a dressed up thug

yep – this strikes a chord! I also really liked the rhyming, cos it’s subtle, not “rhymey-chimey” 🙂
