Captured in its Lens

Day 7 prompt is to write a love poem . . . but the object of the poem should be inanimate. You can write a love poem to your favourite pen, the teddy bear you had as a child (and maybe still have), or anything else, so long as it’s not alive!

Captured in its Lens

My camera hangs around my neck
Ready to click
When something entices
I take it to the park with me
Trying to capture natures beauty
I love the way it pauses time
For me to look upon
It inks the memories
My heart holds precious
Concrete moments of love
I feel uplifted
When uniqueness
I can hold in my hands
But I couldn’t do it
Without my camera
I am captured in its lens

Interesting object. Part of the fun of all these poems we are sharing at the moment.
