Dream interrupted

Peace, Love and Patchouli

Parallel body
Lulled gently into
Much needed sleep
They come
In the farthest recesses
Of my memory laden mind,
These familiar dreams
Like a mid night waltz
Moving smooth
Step by step
I walk in color
We speak of times
That could never have been,
Sounds filter through
Subconscious movement
In the darkness I see
Eyes watching
I reach out and walk with you
Dream interrupted
Magic spell broken
But at peace
I have found my way
Weaving through a mirage
Of sleep
To find my feet on the floor
Walking forward
I slip into the night air
To catch a glimpse
Of moon peering out
Like a small child
Hide and seek,
Through trees now dressed
In the spring coat
Of woodland soldiers
Standing at attention,
Saluting the day
In their finery,
Welcome home they seem to say,
Welcome friend.
