Sickly Sweet

Written in a Gaia Holmes Writing workshop at Langley Writers

Her voice was like sweet brain freeze

She swept into the room

Like a whirlwind

Unnerving all around her

She held both

beauty and destruction

In her hands

Moulding them to her will

She’d lure you in

With her sweet innocence

You’d become addicted

To her flavour

Her tantalising transfixing taste

But then it hit you

Like a knife

Pushed deep into your spine

You’d bleed for her

But she would just smile

A twisted expression

You’re in her tangled web now

There’s no escape
