The Little Wall in the Park

The Little Wall in the Park

That little wall in the park,

has always there.

Framing the top of the hill.

Where did it come from?

Was it a man made creation?

Sculpted by nature?

To include twists and turns.

Teardrop holes,

To peak through.

Or is it a natural creation?

Risen from earth and soil,

Of what lays beneath.

Ive heard tales told,

Of a boy on his bike.

Crashing down the hill,

Unable to stop.

He drowned.

Is that why this wall is here?

To protect?

Or is it simply to be admired?

Viewed with an artistic eye.

Breaking up the landscape.

What ever its purpose,

Its aged gracefully,

And developed a whimsy.

Which cannot be recreated,

That little wall in the park.
